DETROIT _ Stanley Johnson was removed from the starting lineup.
He came off the bench Wednesday to lead the Detroit Pistons to a much-needed victory.
Johnson scored 19 points and helped keep star Giannis Antetokounmpo in check in the Pistons' 110-87 thumping of the Milwaukee Bucks at Little Caesars Arena.
Johnson added six rebounds and four assists as the Pistons (29-32) snapped a three-game losing skid. The Pistons outscored the Bucks by 36 in Johnson's 29 minutes.
Hampered by playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the Bucks shot only 38.4 percent from the field.
And after allowing at least 16 3-pointers for three straight games, the Pistons held the Bucks (33-28) to 8-for-24 shooting from the 3-point line.
Andre Drummond scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Reggie Bullock scored 16 points on 7-for-14 shooting.
Blake Griffin struggled offensively with eight points on 3-for-10 shooting, but added nine rebounds and seven assists in 25 minutes.
Eric Moreland had the first double-double of his career with 10 points and 12 rebounds to go with six assists in 21 minutes.
Antetokounmpo scored 13 points on 5-for-13 shooting.
Eric Bledsoe led the Bucks with 19 points.
Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy started James Ennis III in place of Johnson. Ennis scored four points in 14 minutes.
The Pistons revolving door at backup shooting guard continued.
After struggling for two games, Van Gundy benched rookie Luke Kennard for Langston Galloway.
Galloway finished with 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting, making three 3-pointers.
Van Gundy said at the morning shootaround he thought the NBA All-Star break would help to refresh Kennard after he appeared to be dragging with the NBA workload.
But Kennard was 1-for-7 in three games after the break.
He played the final 3:30 of the fourth quarter against the Bucks, hitting a 3-pointer.
Needing only two points, Drummond's layup at the 8:28 mark of the first quarter accomplished the milestone of 6,000 career points.
According Fox Sports Detroit, Drummond is the second player in franchise history to reach the mark before 25 years old. Isiah Thomas was the other.
A pom-pom team spilled powder on the Little Caesars Arena floor, almost completely covering half of the court.
