Pistons’ Blake Griffin will be a game-time decision Friday vs. Thunder

Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin will be a game-time decision with left knee soreness Friday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Johnny Kane of Fox Sports Detroit.

Griffin participated in shootaround with the Pistons on Friday and his status will be updated prior to the game. Griffin has missed the past three games for the Pistons due to the injury.

The injury to Griffin came a bit unexpectedly for the Pistons. He was a late scratch against the Portland Trail Blazers on March 30 and he has not played since.

Without Griffin, the Pistons have gone 1-2 after dropping a pair of games against the Indiana Pacers. The team is in a heated playoff battle in the Eastern Conference and is holding onto the sixth seed for the time being.

Griffin is leading the Pistons in scoring this season with a career-high 24.7 points per game. With his status in question, the Pistons are nine-point underdogs to the Thunder on Friday.

The game on Friday is set to tip off at 7 p.m. CT and can be seen on FS OK.
