Pirates of the River Tyne boat parties to set sail in Newcastle for Halloween

Get ready to have your timbers well and truly shivered as evil pirate themed boat parties are set to take to the water in Newcastle this Halloween.

With us now in the middle of August, summer will soon be over and it will be time to look ahead to Halloween, which is always a huge occasion in Newcastle.

While we're still coming to the terms that fancy dress Aladdin's cave , a series of Halloween events are already in the diary for the Newcastle areas including Psycho Path, and Terror in the Trees and now there's another one to look forward to.

While not quite on the high seas, the Pirates of the River Tyne boat parties will take to the famous Geordie stretch of water on both Thursday, October 31 and Saturday, November 2.

Teasing the events on Facebook, hosts Xclusivetouch posted "Ahoy Shipmates! This Halloween batten down the hatches and jump on-board our ‘Pirates of the River Tyne’ boat party - taking place on the mysterious Fortuna Vessel.

"Whether you’re Elizabeth Swann or Davy Jones, you can join the celebrations as we search the Tyne for Newcastle’s hidden treasures.

Early arrival is essential as the boat sets off from Newcastle Quayside (by Pitcher & Piano) at 7pm sharp, meaning guests must be ready for boarding 6.30pm – the boat can’t wait!

"Once departed, the celebrations begin as XclusiveTouch resident DJ’s take you through the biggest new and old school tracks, whilst blending in the odd Halloween horror."

How to get tickets

Early bird tickets will be priced £15 and are set to go on sale on Thursday, August 22 from Fatsoma.

Tickets will get you entry into an Alice in Wonderland themed after-party in Players bar on the Thursday at the Twisted Circus event at Riverside if you're sailing on the Saturday.

Organisers add "As the event is Halloween, fancy dress is required, whether it’s an eye patch, a toy parrot or a full-on costume – no effort, no entrance."
