Pippa Middleton gives Queen's name to her second child

Pippa Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, has given birth to a baby girl on Monday (March 15), according to a family spokesperson.

And she's used the Queen's name as her newborn's second, in a nod to the royal connections within the family.

The sister of Kate Middleton, who shot to fame at her 2011 Royal Wedding to Prince William, has become a mum for the second time, to baby Grace Elizabeth Jane Matthews.

Pippa married husband James Matthews in May 2017 in St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire.

The hedge fund boss and Pippa already have a little boy, two-year-old Arthur.

A family spokesman said: “I’m delighted to confirm, Grace Elizabeth Jane Matthews was born around 4.22am this morning, weighing 6lbs 7oz.

“Mother and baby are doing well.”

Grace is another cousin for Kate’s children - the Queen's grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Mother Carole Middleton spoke about the birth of her forthcoming grandchild – now her fifth – in an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine.

Commenting on her wishes for the year she said: “I also hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild.”
