There is an upcoming bank holiday that will mean earlier payments coming through for thousands of people receiving benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
HMRC announced changes to payment dates for Child Benefit and Tax Credits and the DWP confirmed similar amendments for those receiving disability benefits including Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Employment Support Allowance (ESA), Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Carer's Allowance.
The bank holiday is on Monday, May 31 and that means any benefit payments due to drop into accounts on that date will be made on the last working day before it instead - Friday, May 28.
DWP said: "Payment dates have been brought forward. Customers due to be paid on Monday, 31 May will be paid on Friday, May 28."
DWP also confirmed that Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines will be closed on the bank holiday.
Below are the full payment details for all DWP and HMRC benefits affected by the bank holiday.

Some banks deposit money into your account around 11.30pm so you can withdraw it before midnight on benefit payday. Others will release your funds at midnight or just a few minutes after that.
But in some cases you have to wait until between 2am and 3am, while others will not let you touch your money until at least 6am on payday.
