Pink tests positive for coronavirus and begs fans worldwide to stay at home

Music megastar Pink has revealed she tested positive for coronavirus.

In a candid statement posted on the singer's social media channels, she revealed that she and three-year-old son had been showing signs of COVID-19 and, after being tested, Pink, real name Alicia Moore, gave a positive result.

She explained to her fans that, after self-isolating at home for two weeks, she was re-tested and tested negative.

Pink, the singer who has given us huge hits like Just Like A Pill, What About Us and Walk Me Home, took aim at the US Government for their failure to not make coronavirus tests more widely available, writing: "It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible."

The 40-year-old revealed she'd donated 500,000 dollars (£407,000) to both the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia and the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency Covid-19 crisis fund.

Pink signed off the post by writing: "Thank you to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones.

"These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home.

"Please. Stay. Home."

At the time of writing, there were 275,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in America and there has also been over 7,000 deaths.
