Pink superfan's Hampden heartbreak as sick girl, 13, misses gig after emergency surgery

A mum is on a mission to get to tweet her superfan daughter who is missing tonight's because after being rushed to hospital.

The American megastar is set to rock Glasgow this weekend during the Scottish leg of her Beautiful Trauma world tour.

But little Aimeè Lindsay will heartbreakingly miss seeing her favourite singer after falling ill on Wednesday with suspected kidney or appendix trouble.

The 13-year-old had been given the tickets for this evening's show from her dad for Christmas.

She's underwent successful emergency surgery, however complications mean she will have to stay in hospital.

Now her mother Karen, from Kirkcaldy, has issued a plea for Pink to cheer her daughter up with a tweet.

She said: "Aimeè loves pink.

"On Wednesday she was taking into hospital with suspected kidney or appendix trouble. The operation went well but the after effects have been problematic.

"Aimeè is devastated about missing the concert."

Her Twitter campaign has since caught fire with over 300 people tagging Pink in the comments of Karen's post.

It has also racked up 2,700 likes and 1,500 tweets since being uploaded on Friday afternoon.

She added: "We thought we could put out a little tweet, but I never expected it to be this big! Have to admit I was a little overwhelmed.

"I am meant to go to tomorrow’s concert. This would be my third time of seeing Pink and Aimeè’s first. Pink is an inspiration for any person, young or old.

"I wish she could see this and send Aimeè a little tweet."

Pink was earlier spotted spending some quality time with her daughter at a play park in Glasgow.

Thepop icon enjoy a bit of rare city sunshine, but her visit went largely unnoticed.

Apart from her acclaimed headline appearance at the V Festival in 2017, the tour will be Pink’s first live shows in the UK since 2013.

It will be her first show in Scotland since she got the party started at Hampden in 2010.
