Pink says she's taking a break from music on 2019 CMA Awards red carpet

Is Pink going off-grid for a bit? The singer announced at Wednesday night's CMA Awards that she would be taking a break from music for the time being to focus on family.

She added that it was her husband's 'turn' after supporting her for years.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the singer said, "We did two and a half years of [music], and Willow’s back in school now. Jameson’s going to start pre-school soon. It’s kind of the year of the family. And Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn."

The announcement follows a busy year for the singer, who released an eighth album Hurts 2B Human in April. She also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February.

Pink hit the red carpet at the CMA Awards with her husband of thirteen years Carey Hart, a former professional motorcycle racer, and her children Willow, 8, and Jameson, 3.

Speaking of her husband - who she broke up with briefly in 2008 - Pink said, "He deserves a trophy [for being with me this long]! We used to make a big deal out of it, now we’re just lucky to be together. Isn’t marriage fun? Yeah, we fight for each other… There’s been so many [life-changing moments], I don’t even know."

She later hit the stage at the ceremony for a country duet with Chris Stapleton.
