Pink’s husband Carey Hart has revealed that his wife and son became “extremely sick” after contracting Covid-19.

Mr Hart, 44, said that Pink, who he married in 2006, was hit particularly hard because she suffers from asthma.

Hart also said that their three-year-old son, Jameson, became ill because of the virus, although he was never officially tested.

“It was intense,” Carey told SiriusXM’s The Jason Ellis Show. “They both got extremely sick.

“My son probably got the worst of the two of them, which kind of debunked the whole theory that this only hit old people.”

He added: “My wife got it pretty bad as well. She has pre-existing, you know she has asthma. It totally attacked her lungs and her chest, and she was having a hard time breathing.”

Hart, a former professional freestyle motorcross competitor, said his wife and son became infected despite taking necessary precautions against the virus and had been in lockdown most of March.

“I came home, I wasn’t showing any symptoms. So we were going this route that most people are in that is,  ‘I don’t want to get this’ and we are going into full lockdown,” he said.

“The symptoms started to kick up.... we probably stayed home for another 10 days and then my son took a turn for the worse.”

Hart said that his son Jameson had battled an extremely high temperature for several weeks.

“He’d have extremely high body temperature, I mean he was up around 102, 103, for a solid two, going on three weeks straight. The kid was in the bath four or five times a day trying to break his temperature,” he added.

Pink was the only one in the family to get tested for Covid-19. However, Hart assumes that they have all been infected.

“I have zero symptoms, my daughter has zero symptoms. Unfortunately, we only had access to a test for my wife... not that I don’t really feel we needed more because I figure, the four of us on top of each other for a couple of weeks at this point, if one of us has it, all of us has it,” he said.

“You have to kind of assume that. We just kind of took the lead on my wife’s test.”

After a period of rest, Pink said that she and her son have since recovered from the virus and are now testing negative.

“Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19,” she wrote on Instagram.

She added: “Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor.

“Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.”
