About 120 firefighters are battling a blaze in a forest on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula amid warm conditions for the start of spring.
The fire began overnight when a burn-off in a pine plantation at Parawa reignited.
More than 190 hectares have already been burnt, including in the Waitpinga Conservation Park, but no assets have been lost.
A hut on the fire ground was saved this morning.
Gusty winds of up to 70 kilometres per hour are making conditions tough for firefighters.
Of most concern is a wind change expected to come in this evening.
While the blaze may burn for days, rain tomorrow could help control the spread.
Sixteen Country Fire Services crews and four ForestrySA firefighting teams are at the scene, along with staff from the Department for Environment and Water.
The temperature in Adelaide has hit 30 degrees Celsius today, after a top of 26C yesterday, with low humidity.
Further north, Port Augusta reached a high of 34.4C at 1:30pm, Whyalla a top of 33.9 while Port Pirie in the Mid North topped 31.9C.
In the south of the state, Naracoorte reached 29.5C at 2:00pm.
The temperature in Parawa reached a top of 23.7C at 12:30pm.
