Pilots, drivers dazzle at Hunter Valley Airshow

THOUSANDS turned out to enjoy thrilling stunts and maneuvers both on and above the tarmac at Cessnock Airport at the weekend.

The Hunter Valley Airshow returned bigger and better across the two days with sunny weather on Saturday offering perfect conditions for those involved in the activities and spectators.

Pilots of stunt and historical war planes dazzled the large crowds from the air while the Hot Wheels themed streetcar crew burnt rubber on the ground.

Pilot Paul Bennet took centre stage in The Wolf Pitts, the highest performing aerobatic biplane in the world with 400 horsepower.

One of the main theatrics featured freestyle motocross rider Jackson Strong performing a front flip over Mr Bennet's soaring plane.
