A pilot killed after his light plane crashed in East Sussex has been named by police.
Richard Warriner, 65, is believed to have died instantly in the incident on Tuesday morning near Heathfield.
Emergency services rushed to the field where the aircraft came down at about 11am.
Firefighters from multiple stations were called in and were able to extinguish the fire.
Police and ambulance services also attended the scene, which was just north of Heathfield.
Mr Warriner, from Burwash, died in the incident and his body was recovered from the wreckage of his plane.
His next of kin were informed on Tuesday.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has confirmed it is looking into the crash.
