A pilot was forced to shut down one of a plane's engines as it made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport.
The Flybe flight to the Isle of Man had been in the air for a matter of minutes when a technical fault was discovered.
A spokesman for the airline said the captain followed procedure and shut down one of the plane's engines as a safety precaution.
Flight BE817 was scheduled to leave Manchester on the short flight at around 2.15pm on Wednesday.
It's understood the plane took off just after 2.20pm.
The plane made it as far as the Crosby coast area of Merseyside before it turned around less than 10 minutes later.
Flybe said the flight landed back in Manchester safely and its 38 passengers would be put on the next available flight.

A statement said: " Flybe can confirm that the above flight landed safely at Manchester Airport having returned from airborne following a technical fault shortly after take-off that resulted in the captain following standard procedures and electing to shut down one of the engines as a safety precaution.
"The aircraft landed without further incident.
"As is standard procedure, the aircraft was met by the airport’s emergency service vehicles.
"All 38 passengers disembarked as normal when the aircraft arrived on stand and will be re-accommodated on the next available flight.
"The safety of its passengers and crew is the airline’s number one priority and Flybe apologises for any inconvenience experienced."
