Pilot flouts lockdown to write 'f*** Covid-19' with flightpath

Many of us are housebound wishing the coronavirus crisis would cease.

But one pilot was so enraged by the pandemic that they flouted stay-at-home orders to take to the skies and deliver a defiant message to Covid-19.

Radar data shows a light aircraft near Baltimore, in the US state of Maryland, spelt the words “f*** Covid-19” with its flight path on Tuesday night.

It is unclear who piloted the Piper light aircraft, but social media users flooded in to agree with the sentiment.

Flightradar24, the website that recorded the one hour 17 minute flight, posted a screenshot on Twitter adding: “We’re just going to leave this here”.

Referencing Donald Trump’s heavily rebuked remarks about disinfectant, one user replied: “Has anyone done a “don’t inject bleach” one yet?”

The governor of Maryland hit out at the US president last week after declaring a statewide alert warning against ingesting or injecting disinfectants due to a surge in helpline calls.
