Feb. 17--Prescription pills and money were stolen from a Glendale pharmacy early Tuesday morning, marking the latest in a string of pharmacy break-ins, police said.
Just after 4 a.m., an officer on patrol noticed a broken window at Harvard Family Pharmacy, located in the 100 block of South Glendale Avenue, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

When the officer entered the pharmacy, she noticed the cash register had been opened and items were missing from the shelves, though the value of the loss was not immediately known.
The break-in marks the most recent incident in a series of pharmacy burglaries in which thousands of dollars' worth of medicine has been stolen.
On Jan. 30, thieves smashed a window at Med Zone pharmacy, located in the 400 block of East Glenoaks Boulevard, and made off with $10,000 worth of medication.
When police arrived, the pharmacy had been ransacked, with various pill bottles left strewn across the floor.
It's unclear if the break-ins are related to other pharmacy burglaries reported in Glendale in the last couple of months.
