A major clean-up operation was launched after pigeons were found inside a Scots hospital.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde confirmed that a waiting room in the Vale of Leven Hospital in Alexandria, near Dumbarton, underwent a “thorough clean” to remove the birds.
They gained access through a window left open by a member of staff.

Health board bosses insisted they responded “immediately” on receiving the report.
It follows two cases of cryptococcus – a rare fungal infection linked to pigeon droppings – at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow earlier this year, which claimed the lives of a 10-year-old boy and a 73-year-old woman.
