A major clean-up operation was launched after pigeons were found inside a Scots hospital.

They gained access through a window left open by a member of staff.

Pigeon filmed INSIDE scandal hit Glasgow hospital where three died after contracting infections

Health board bosses insisted they responded “immediately” on receiving the report.

It follows two cases of cryptococcus – a rare fungal infection linked to pigeon droppings – at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow earlier this year, which claimed the lives of a 10-year-old boy and a 73-year-old woman.
