An Italian maths teacher at University College London has just become a model for Armani after his students made him famous by sharing pictures of him online.
Pietro Boselli became so popular amongst his university students for his looks that they were uploading photos of him on social media, helping him grow a big global following (he now has almost 850,000 Instagram followers now). He then entered the sexiest teacher in the world competition (yes, there is one) and he won.
The 28-year-old from Negrar, a town near Verona, has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCL and has already posed for Abercrombie and Fitch and other smaller brands. But in fact his career started quite early when he fronted the Armani Junion campaign at the age of seven. “It was the first entry of my CV I think,” he told Ruptly. He then walked the catwalk for Emporio Armani in 2008 and is now the face of Giorgia Armani’s EA7 line.
He's given his academic path a break to start a modelling career - he's signed contract with top agency Models 1 and has landed job at the Italian luxury label.
He says he always dreamed of modelling , but chose to follow an academic path instead. Calling himself a “nerd” he says he turned down many lucrative jobs that would take him away from his books.
He also shares his fitness regime on his Instagram account and admits he trains twice a day and follows a “strict diet” to keep that body shape.
In his YouTube channel he posted a video of his last day pf PhD work where he says “after this I’ll be travelling a lot… exciting times ahead.”
