Collingwood ruckman Brodie Grundy has been cleared of major damage after suffering a neck-related injury in his side's AFL defeat to Geelong.
Grundy was substituted out of Saturday's game at the MCG after he pinched a nerve in a contest with Rhys Stanley during the third quarter.
He was taken to nearby Epworth Hospital on Saturday afternoon and left that night.
"The scans cleared Grundy of any major injury and he left hospital on Saturday evening," Collingwood said in a statement on Sunday morning.
"He will be assessed in coming days."
Grundy had just kicked the Magpies' first goal of the game - two minutes into the third term - when he left the field.
Collingwood, who suffered a third-straight loss with the 10-point defeat to the Cats, are scheduled to face Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in round 12.
However, the Saturday evening clash may be rescheduled because of Victoria's COVID-19 outbreak and South Australia's closed border.
