Piers Morgan trolls Harry Kane as Arsenal leapfrog Tottenham in top four race

Piers Morgan reignited his Twitter feud with Harry Kane by trolling the Tottenham striker once again.

Goals from Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday and lifted them to third in the Premier League above rivals Tottenham and Manchester United .

It was a vital result for the Gunners as they look to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates for the first time in three seasons.

And following the full-time whistle, Morgan, an avid Arsenal fan, poked fun at the fact his side leapfrogged their noisy neighbours.

The TV presenter and the England captain have long trolled each other on social media, and this time the former came out on top.

He wrote on Twitter : "Hi mate @HKane," with a screenshot of the current top six.

Morgan wrote a similar tweet back in early December when Arsenal overcame Spurs 4-2 in the Premier League.

But later that month, Spurs knocked their rivals out of the Carabao Cup, leading to Kane belatedly responding to that tweet in hilarious fashion.

Hector Bellerin mocks Tottenham with comments during Arsenal's win over Newcastle

He replied: “I’m good thanks you??”

And he’ll be hoping he’ll have the opportunity to repeat that response this season, with Spurs no doubt desperate to finish above their North London rivals.

Arsenal’s result put them on 63 points with seven games left, two above Spurs and Manchester United, with Chelsea a further point behind, as Unai Emery’s side boosted their hopes of a top-four finish and Champions League football next season.

Five of Arsenal’s remaining seven fixtures are away, where they have picked up fewer than half of their points this season.
