Piers Morgan trolled by son Spencer over resemblance to Home Alone's pigeon lady

Piers Morgan and son Spencer have butted digital heads again over the ongoing "pigeon lady" joke.

It was Spencer who first compared GMB's Piers to Christmas classic Home Alone's pigeon lady, referring to the character who feeds the pigeons in Central Park.

And after the comparison was brought up again by Susanna Reid during the festive season, Spencer reminded Twitter who'd come up with the joke in the first place.

"While I'm delighted it's back in the news let's not forget who started 'Pigeon Piers'," he tweeted.

And not one to back down, dad Piers came back: "Bold nuclear war to start with someone who has 7.7m followers, son... good luck."

Susanna yesterday claimed she'd found "proof" Piers was the real deal, unearthing a clip from 2018 when pigeons were on the show, perched on his shoulders and head.

The actress who actually plays pigeon lady, Brenda Fricker, is said to find the joke hilarious.

One fan suggested in the comments section that Piers get Brenda in the studio after Christmas to prove they're different people.

"I thought it was you who played the Pigeon Lady," another admitted.

Piers and Spencer have frequently clashed on Twitter in recent months over their furious disagreements about lockdown.

Their spat culminated in Piers ordering his son to "grow a pair" over his Covid restriction scepticism.

Piers has made no secret of his views amid the pandemic, pouring scorn on the government and insisting ministers had "boycotted" GMB for more than 200 days.

And his legendary GMB rants and fiery interviews have landed broadcast regulator Ofcom with complaints about his conduct.

His brutal questioning of Health Secretary Matt Hancock and care minister Helen Whately sparked a flood of complaints.

But Ofcom cleared Piers after they ruled he had been performing his journalistic duty during the interviews.

Meanwhile, fans were yesterday left in hysterics as one of the first people to get the new Covid vaccine admitted he didn't know who Piers was.
