Piers Morgan tries to impress with LA pool but fans spot something wrong

Piers Morgan has shared a snap showing off the pool in his luxurious Los Angeles home.

The picture posted to Instagram showed the pool surrounded by palm trees and exotic plants, with a clear blue sky peeking through in the background.

He captioned the image: "LA Life" followed by a palm tree, sun, cool dude and hand gesture emojis.

However, the colour of the water matched the fresh green grass next to it and rather than impressing his fans, the post led to some confusion.

Meg commented: "You may want to invest in a pool man @piersmorgan is the water supposed to look like algae?"

Dave wrote: "So funny Piers! Due to whatever camera effect you have, everybody is commenting that it looks more like a pond than a pool! Not what you had in mind to convey. Ooops!"

Craig shot him down with: "Nah Piers, that pool needs some serious work on it. That's not the LA dream."

Lawrence asked: "How is that water so green?"

Mr Morgan responded: "Haha it’s clear, relax - just weird camera effect."

The 56-year-old presenter owns a broad portfolio of homes across the world but was unable to visit his LA home for the last two years due to travel restrictions in the pandemic.

Last year, he had a moan on Good Morning Britain when the UK was in lockdown, about how he had been stuck in London for too long.

On the morning show, he said: "I've been in London now since March 14. I have never been in one place, I don't think in my adult life as long as I've been in London."

He wouldn't state quite how many swimming pools he owned in his properties but described it as a "new form of fresh hell" watching his friends and family in the Californian state while he couldn't be there to enjoy it himself.
