Piers Morgan 'tries out Botox' as he poses for playful selfies with wife Celia

Piers Morgan has attempted to roll back the years with a couple of cheeky filters.

One image-altering effect even made the former Good Morning Britain anchor look like he'd dabbled with a bit of Botox.

The broadcaster, 56, and wife Celia Walden couldn't resist trying out a few fun filters on their way to the BAFTA charity gala film dinner on Friday night.

Posing in the back of cab together, Ceila, 46, and Piers did their best Dracula impressions when using one of the black and white filters.

Another saw the celebrity couple achieve a smooth airbrushed appearance thanks to some fabulous filter work.

"Trying out filters in the back of a cab," Ceila told her Instagram followers on Friday.

"This one makes Piers look like Baron Botox."

Piers also shared one of the filtered selfies to his own Instagram Stories, but didn't comment on his super-smooth appearance.

The outspoken journalist clearly enjoyed his night out, taking to Instagram on Saturday morning to share a few snaps and reveal which celebrities he shared a table with at the glitzy affair.

"Dahling! Great evening at the BAFTA charity gala film dinner," Piers captioned a snap of himself stood by a huge BAFTA statue.

"Thanks to @ewanventers for hosting such a fun table incl Dame Judi Dench, @vernonkay @tessdaly @jimmycarr @celia.walden at @thelondoner."

"Bond!!" Vernon Kay commented underneath the post, seemingly jokingly implying Piers could be the next James Bond.

The presenter's big night out comes just days after he opened up about his battle to fully recover from Covid-19.

Piers previously said he caught coronavirus after attending the Euro 2020 final between Italy and England at Wembley Stadium.

The dad-of-four started feeling symptoms two days after the match, which included a fever and body aches.

As it approaches the first anniversary of him contracting the viral disease, the TV star has updated his fans on his remaining symptoms.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Piers tweeted: "BREAKING: Just finished first Peloton session in 8 (long Covid) months. Still got zero sense of smell, but taste returning fast, fatigue waves less frequent, brain fog gone.

"Putting this encouraging update out there for all those suffering LC issues. ps No [clown emoji] loons need respond."

Piers is has always been encouraging of other people being vaccinated, and is up-to-date with vaccines himself.

Speaking last year, the TV veteran mused how 'unfair' it was that pal Kate Garraway's husband didn't get the chance to be protected before catching Covid-19.

Derek Draper fell victim to the deadly disease in early 2020, and was left critically ill and hospitalised for more than a year.

Documenting his own experience with Covid-19 in July 2021, Piers wrote: "I've felt pretty awful with Covid but the vaccine may well have saved my life. Derek never had the chance to take one."

"That just seems so desperately unfair."
