Piers Morgan takes swipe at Boris Johnson with his 'personalised Christmas card'

Piers Morgan took another poke at Boris Johnson after fashioning a boozy Christmas card from the Prime Minister.

Posting a mocked up greeting of himself and Boris sharing a bottle of wine at a past gathering, he took to twitter to share another swipe.

The PM is under fire after a number of photos showing apparent rule breaking during lockdown enraged the British public.

On Sunday, another leaked snap pictured the Tory leader in the garden of No10 with wife Carrie and around 19 aides.

The photo was reportedly taken last May with the national lockdown in full force.

Mr Johnson says it was a purely work meeting - despite wine and cheese in sight, and no laptops or notepads.

Not to miss an opportunity, outspoken former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers sarcastically uploaded the card he created.

He cheekily captioned it: "Merry Christmas Business Meeting" as they sipped the plonk.

The former Life Stories host ripped into him after the garden photo found its way onto social media.

He angrily tweeted: "BREAKING: Boris Johnson just brazenly lied about latest illicit No10 garden party scandal, and announced he’s doing nothing re #Omicron threat."

Not quite done there, he followed that up with: ‘”Boris Johnson delays decision” – the four least surprising words in the English language.

"If a small asteroid was rocketing down to Earth at high speed and there was a 50/50 shot of it landing either directly on your head, or in a nearby lake, would you a) do whatever you could to protect yourself, just in case b) wait and see if it hits or misses? #Omicron #Boris."

Two weeks ago, he claimed that the PM is “toast” after leaked footage showed senior Downing Street staff joking about holding a banned staff party last Christmas.

Piers urged Chancellor Rishi Sunak to take over from Mr Johnson urgently saying his confidence in the UK leader is at an all-time low.

He tweeted earlier this month: "This now needs to happen as a matter of urgency...

"Rishi Sunak is the grown-up in the cabinet room, and we need a grown-up in charge not a big baby."

No 10 initially did not say the reports were inaccurate but said all rules had been followed, before later denying any party had taken place, despite leaked footage emerging.

Mr Johnson told the Commons that Downing Street staff reiterated “there was no party and that no Covid rules were broken”.

He added if lockdown rules had been broken, “then there will be disciplinary action for all those involved”.
