Piers Morgan takes GMB swipe at Holly and Phil over awards wins

Piers Morgan took a swipe at This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over awards wins on Good Morning Britain.

The TV host took aim at the pair with a sarcastic rant, stating he was sick and tired of Holly and Phil winning "endless awards."

Piers, who was alongside co-host Susanna Reid pulled no punches claiming the lack of awards for Holly and Phil is the only good thing to come out of the coronavirus pandemic and endless lockdown restictions.

On Good Morning Britain today, Piers said: “The one good thing about all of this, I haven’t had to put up with Holly and Phil winning endless awards and having to pretend that I’m all part of the one big happy ITV family.”

Susanna was quick to interrupt and added: “I think they have been winning, they’ve just been winning virtually.”

Piers said: “Yeah but nobody notices, nobody cares and they don’t get their moment on the telly.”

He then impersonated Holly.

Piers said: “‘Oh look at me’ and those little puppy dog eyes that Holly pulls.”

“‘Oh hello, it’s not the winning, it’s the taking part’ say the people who keep winning everything.”

For once, his GMB co-host Susanna seemed in agreement with him as she had the final word on the matter. Susanna concluded: “Not that we’re bitter in the slightest.”
