Piers Morgan taken off air after rant at Good Morning Britain director

Piers Morgan's awkward rant at Good Morning Britain's director today left him a bit of hot water as he was taken off air.

The crew got revenge on the outspoken presenter, 54, after he hit out at boss Erron Gordon.

Appearing on GMB alongside Susanna Reid today, he took aim at Erron's comments on social media.

He said: "We've got our director back today, Erron, last week he directed the big debate and then he tweeted it was his career highlight.

"So his career highlight doesn't involve the people he works with every day, it's alright, we're not taking it personally.

"I was going to take you to the White House for my next interview with Trump but... That's showbiz, you're gone."

Piers' image was then replaced by a screen claiming that the programme was suffering from "technical difficulties".

Piers wasn't too impressed and snarked: "Technical difficulties? There'll be directorial difficulties, trust me."

This certainly isn't the first time that Piers has become embroiled in a bust-up with crew live on air.

The presenter ended up branding bosses "pathetic and gutless" after they kept him off air for only 12 seconds following a row.

He insisted that GMB would lose viewers if they got rid of him.

Meanwhile in March he hit out at bosses for "barking orders" at him after producers demanded they wrap up as they were running nine minutes behind.
