Life Stories viewers got to see a rare sight this evening - Piers Morgan being lost for words.
The host was staggered to learn that guest and British daytime TV icon Trisha Goddard is older than him.
"I'm going to admit something," he told her, "I'm 55 years old.
"I say that because I'm about to ask you your age."
Trisha laughed and told him: "63."
"You're eight years older than me?" a flabbergasted Piers remarked, "You look about ten years younger than me!"
He added: "How do you look so young?"
"It's just me," humble Trisha laughed, "Sunblock!"
Piers interviews fascinating guests each week, with recent episodes including Chris Eubank and Gemma Collins.
And despite moments of levity, Piers and his guests delve into darker moments of their lives.
For Trisha, this has entailed heartbreaking schoolground racist abuse, a suicide attempt, and learning her late first husband had AIDS.
She told this evening how a teacher had found her crying at school after another bout of racist taunts - and how the teacher had told her to "toughen up."
"I got really good at my primary school going in the loo. You get toilet paper and you stuff it in your mouth so they don't hear you crying," she recalled.
Later in the series, Piers will sit down with Rupert Everett and Coleen Nolan.
