Piers Morgan snaps at producers in strop over being told what to do as 'tension mounts' on GMB

Piers Morgan snapped at producers on Friday as 'tension mounted' on Good Morning Britain.

For the first time in forever, the always outspoken host has been ever-present on the ITV daytime show this week rather than having a day off.

Returning from his two week break, Piers has fronted GMB with Susanna Reid from Monday right through to Friday, commentating on everything from England's second lockdown of the year to the US Election debacle and Donald Trump's explosive claims.

And his lack of time off this week might have been what caused him to get irritated on Friday morning as he complained about being given instructions by show bosses.

As cameras rolled after an ad break, a shocked Susanna shouted: "What did you just say Piers Morgan?"

Piers ranted: "There are people in my ear saying 'here's what you do'. It's almost like presenting by numbers.

"'If you could do this, do this'. No! I've nearly been here for five years."

Susanna interjected: "You've not been here on a Friday though."

"No I haven't," Piers admitted, before adding: "And tension is mounting this week!"

One viewer didn't take kindly to Piers' strop, tweeting: "Is this narcissistic lump of dung really bringing in the viewers? He thinks it's his own show, but in fact just a yelling, ranting and boring moron."
