TV host Piers Morgan thought the contestants on last year's Love Island were "the most stupid they've ever had".
The presenter made the comment on Good Morning Britain on Monday while discussing the ITV reality show with Richard Arnold.
He was reacting to clips from Love Island over the weekend, in which Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae were talking about vocabulary.
Tommy said one of his favourite words was 'chive' and Molly-Mae agreed they should make it a new slang word.
Morgan went on to mock the contestants. He kept repeating the word 'chive' in a high-pitched voice as he imitated Molly-Mae.
He said: "Chive, chive, did you chive, oh sorry I was just doing my Instagram.
"These people, who watches this stuff?"
His antics led to a flurry of comments on social media.
One Twitter user said: "Piers Morgan does Love Island. Can't stop laughing."
Another wrote: "I would love one of Piers Morgan's sons to enter the Love Island villa just to see his reaction."
And one comment read: "@piersmorgan Love Island impressions! Setting me up for the day! Not chive at all!"
