Piers Morgan has taken aim at Sarah Silverman and accused her of "peak woke insanity" after she accused Caitlyn Jenner of being transphobic.
The 71-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star came out as transgender in 2015 and she is currently running to be the next Governor of California.
Caitlyn has become embroiled in a transphobic row after she said that biological boys who are trans should be banned from competing in girls' sport at school.
It has proved to be a highly controversial stance and comedian Sarah Silverman has weighed in with her views, which in turn has provoked former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers into commenting about her rant.
He shared a video of Sarah's podcast and wrote in a tweet: "Wow. You’re accusing a trans woman of being transphobic, because she stated the bleeding obvious & wants fairness for girls? This is peak woke insanity."
Caitlyn had spoken to TMZ last week, in which she said: "This is a question of fairness, that's why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls sports in school.
"It just isn't fair, and we have to protect girls sports in our schools."
In her podcast, Sarah hit back at the reality star, saying: "Caitlyn, you're a woman, right?"
She continued: "A trans girl is a girl. She should have the same rights as cis girls... What, you think a trans girl is too strong?
"What about tall girls as opposed to short girls? What about boys in high school who are teeny tiny and their teammates have already hit puberty and are shaving?
"Why don't you just have co-ed sports divided by weight and height, you know? This is so dumb.
"They are legislating this s*** without one single example of how this plays out."
Sarah added: "This is not worrying about girls' sports. Uh, believe me. There are better ways to worry about girls' sports...
"This is not worrying. This is not concern for girls' sports. It's transphobia, full stop.
"It's such a bummer when such a prominent trans woman is such a t***."
