Piers Morgan brands Meghan and Harry's 'woe is me' Oprah chat a 'whine-athon'

Piers Morgan blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's "woe is me" Oprah interview.

Good Morning Britain's outspoken presenter delivered another attack ahead of the bombshell chat debuting in the US on Sunday, followed by a broadcast in the UK on ITV on Monday.

In a furious tirade, Piers branded the upcoming Oprah chat a "whine-athon" as Meghan and Harry are expected to talk about their new life in America after stepping down as senior royals.

Piers slammed the couple's bombshell interview as "wallowing self-pity" and "brimming with anguished woe-is-me tears".

He wrote in The Daily Mail column: "The Oprah whine-athon will be brimming with anguished woe-is-me tears, indignant rage, wallowing self-pity and lots of claims about how kind, caring Meghan and Harry just want to save the world."

It comes amid a storm of allegations that the Duchess of Sussex had bullied two palace staff members which was revealed in The Times.

In retaliation, Meghan said a "calculated smear campaign" was being waged against her by royal aides ahead of the Oprah appearance.

On the other side of things, Piers said the Queen must be "in utter turmoil" over the explosive Oprah interview.

At the same time, the Queen's husband Phillip remains in hospital with an underlying heart condition.

TV breakfast star Piers slated the interview for coming at an "incredibly insensitive time for the family".

He went on: "The poor Queen must be in utter turmoil.

"It's bad enough that Meghan and Harry have done this interview at such an incredibly insensitive time for the family."

Already it's claimed Oprah must be "livid" after "wasting millions" for Harry let slip about his decision to leave the royal family during his appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden (Getty Images for Global Citizen)
