Piers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey today, referring to it as a '2-hour trash-a-thon'.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host didn't hold back and even clashed with his co-host Susanna Reid as they had very differing views on the controversial interview, reports The Mirror.
Piers raged: "I’m angry to the point of boiling over. I’m sickened by what I’ve just seen. This is a two hour trash-a-thon of our monarchy and royal family!"
"They trash everybody! They basically make out everybody in the royal family is a white supremacist. I just don’t think that’s acceptable."
Piers added: "I could see the way it is already playing out in America and around the world."
As Piers finally stopped to take a breath, Susanna told him: "We’ve let you have your say, can I just have my say as well please."
Susanna remained dignified as she listed several allegations made by Harry and Meghan in the chat with Oprah.
The pair then welcomed Chris Ship onto the show as Susanna joked: "It’s a shame you’re not sitting between us!"
A few minutes later, Piers fumed about the fact that they were taking the allegations too seriously, yet they didn't react the same to the bullying claims made about Meghan last week.
"Piers, we are journalists, we do things differently," Susanna told him, to which he sarcastically replied: "Thanks for the lecture on journalism!"
Moments later he shouted at Susanna: "You feel genuine sympathy with Harry and Meghan after watching that bilge?!"
Susanna bluntly replied: "Anyone who said they felt suicidal and didn’t want to be alive anymore, you have to feel sympathy."
During the two hour interview, Harry and Meghan claimed there were "concerns" within the Royal Family over the colour of their son Archie's skin but they refused to name the Royal who had the conversation with Harry.
Meghan said: "In those months when I was pregnant, we had in tandem the conversations of him not being given security or a title, and also concerns about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.
"They didn't want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn't going to receive security."
Meghan also admitted that at one point she experienced suicidal thoughts.
She told Oprah she "didn't want to be alive anymore" and when asked directly if she was thinking of self-harm and having suicidal thoughts at some stage, Meghan replied: 'Yes."
Describing how she considered ending her life believing it "was better for everyone", Meghan said: "I knew that if I didn't say it, that I would do it.
"I just didn't want to be alive anymore. And that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought. I remember how he just cradled me.
"I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help. I said that, 'I've never felt this way before, and I need to go somewhere'. And I was told that I couldn't, that it wouldn't be good for the institution'."
Meghan also claimed that she no longer had access to personal effects such as her passport after joining the family.
