Piers Morgan slams Jack Grealish's apology for breaking lockdown rules and brands him a moron again

Piers Morgan has condemned Jack Grealish's apology after the Premier League star flouted Government guidance and attended a 'lockdown party' at the weekend.

The Aston Villa star was pictured looking dazed on Sunday morning after a collision involving a Range Rover and two parked cars on Sunday morning - leading Good Morning Britain host Piers to blast his "selfishness and recklessness" for attending a gathering at former team-mate Ross McCormack's house.

Speaking on Monday's GMB, always outspoken Piers branded Grealish "a moron," given that he ignored Government rules, just days after telling his own fans to "stay home and save lives."

Grealish has now issued an apology after the incident saying: "I don't want anyone to make the same mistake I did.

"I know it's a tough time for everyone at the moment being locked indoors for so long," he added.

"But I urge everyone to stay indoors and follow the guidelines and I know I'll be doing that in the near future now."

However, Piers and many others have been left unimpressed by the 24-year-old's apology and, taking aim at him once again on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, Piers ranted: "One of the brightest footballers in the country but two days ago he tweeted guidance to the nation - he wanted to be one of the footballers advising us.

"The police have to pick up the pieces when these morons like Jack release videos to make then look good and then ignore them.

"What a total plank. I have had enough of your videos. Keep your head down and shut up."

Continuing his heated tirade, Piers said: "Do what you should have done when you issued your message that you then broke.

"It has revealed a shocking mindset. It was 7 days after the lockdown.

"Jack Grealish's great great grandfather would have probably been in the war in trenches for years and he cant even sit at home.

Speaking later on GMB, Piers added: "A week isn't a long time Jack Grealish. And he lives in a mansion!"
