Piers Morgan has accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of indulging in a 'two hour trash-a-thon' of the Royal Family in their much publicised interview with Oprah Winfrey.
After a week of constant build and teasers on what to expect, the candid chat finally aired in the United States on Sunday night and delivered on its promise of significant bombshells with one of them seeing Harry and Meghan accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing they were actually married before their Windsor Castle wedding.
Other claims made by the couple included Meghan saying Kate Middleton made her cry and that Prince Harry felt "let down" by father Prince Charles.
As expected, given his rants against the couple in the days leading up to the Oprah interview, Good Morning Britain host Piers had a lot of opinions on what was said.
And right at the start of Monday's show he raged: "I’m angry to the point of boiling over. I’m sickened by what I’ve just seen. This is a two hour trash-a-thon of our monarchy and royal family.
"They trash everybody! They basically make out everybody in the royal family is a white supremacist. I just don’t think that’s acceptable."
"I could see the way it is already playing out in America and around the world."
After co-host Susanna Reid took a different stance to him, Piers, who last week claimed Meghan ditched him like a sack of spuds, blasted: "You feel genuine sympathy with Harry and Meghan after watching that bilge?!"
Susanna bluntly replied: "Anyone who said they felt suicidal and didn’t want to be alive anymore, you have to feel sympathy."
Later in the show, Piers predicted Prince William would be seething about the claims Meghan made against his wife Kate, saying: "I think William is going to be absolutely spitting blood about the way Meghan Markle took down his wife on national TV.
"I think he's going to be seething at the betrayal. And people can dress this up anyway they like."
