Piers Morgan slams celebrities who feel sorry for themselves and says they should be grateful for what they've got

Piers Morgan has slammed celebrities who feel sorry for themselves and says they should be grateful for what they have got.

The presenter of Piers Morgan Life Stories, which shows hour-long sit downs with celebrities, criticised those who "play the victim" in interviews and urged them to "get a grip".

He said on Twitter : "Is there any danger of a celebrity giving an interview in which they don’t play the victim but actually tell us how grateful they are to be hugely successful, rich & famous?

"The ‘woe-is-me’ crap is so disingenuous and so utterly exhausting. Just get a grip all of you."

His rant follows his exit on Good Morning Britain after the show received multiple complaints about his criticism of Meghan Markle following Oprah Winfrey's interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan, 39, made a whole host of revelations about her time living in the UK with the royal family, including allegations of racism and details of her suicidal thoughts.

The day after the interview was aired in the US, Piers appeared on GMB with a rant about the two-hour sit down.

He said: "I am angry to the point of boiling over today. I am sickened by what I have just had to watch.

"This is a two-hour trashathon of our royal family, of the monarchy, of everything the Queen has worked so hard for and it's all been done as Prince Philip lies in hospital.

"They trash everybody. They basically make out the entire Royal Family are a bunch of white supremacists by dropping this race bombshell."
