Piers Morgan slams Ant and Dec for 'ghastly' job offer as he rules out ever doing I'm A Celebrity

Piers Morgan has hit out at Ant and Dec for their 'ghastly' job offer to him as he ruled out ever doing I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Since Piers quit Good Morning Britain in March, there has been plenty of speculation on what he'll do next; with him firstly linked to a big role on new channel GB News, before he put himself in the frame for a return to GMB in the wake of Dominic Cummings' damning accusations against the Government.

Appearing on American TV this week, Piers revealed that "conversations for being had," on a possible return to TV but one show you can pretty much guarantee you won't see him on is I'm A Celebrity.

What happened to England's famous WAGs from World Cup 2006

He ruled out ever taking part in the award-winning ITV series in his Daily Mail column, weeks after Ant and Dec talked him up as a possible contestant for this year, saying he would be "looking for a job."

Firing back in his column, Piers said: "Well, he’s not working at the moment, so he’ll be looking for a job,’ scoffed Ant, as Dec cackled like a slathering hyena at the thought of luring me into their hellish jungle prison camp.

"Let me make one thing crystal clear: there’s no way I’m ever exposing myself to a series of ghastly gastronomic humiliations for the delectation of the British public. When I munch kangaroo testicles, I do so in the privacy of my home."

The subject of Piers being on I'm A Celeb cropped up when Ant and Dec appeared on Lorraine and talk turned to this year's show.

After host Lorraine Kelly floated the idea to them, Ant joked: "Well he's not working at the moment, so if he's looking for a job!"

Laughing away, Lorraine answered: "I think he would be amazing in there!"
