Piers Morgan slammed for 'spitting his dummy out' on GMB

Piers Morgan stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain today after a row with weather presenter Alex Beresford.

The pair were discussing the controversial comments Piers made on yesterday's show.

Following clips from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's CBS interview, Piers accused Meghan of having 'trashed' the Royal Family and suggested that she fabricated her mental health problems.

Alex offered his opinion following a Twitter spat with the TV host.

Alex said: "I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made that so clear a number of times on this programme.

"I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one and she cut you off.

"She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off?

"I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her."

But Piers, rising from his chair said: "I’m done with this. Sorry.....see you later, can’t do this."

He then proceeded to walk off set, going backstage.

Susanna Reid then requested to take an ad-break while the situation cooled off.

Readers have praised Alex for speaking out against the host.

Cheryl Lyn Scott said: "Well spoken Alex, quite right what you've said Meghan hasn't bad mouthed anyone but she's being trashed about all the time."

Lesley Roberts said: "Well done Alex. Piers spitting his dummy out. He can't handle the truth."

Julie Smyth said: "Like all man/woman-babies he can't handle it when someone criticises him. Well said Alex."

Readers brought attention to how the controversial host couldn't handle the criticism when it was turned on him.

Simon Tasker said: "He can give it out but can’t take it, it seems. What a surprise!"

Jo Watson said: "If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen Piers."

Joanne Anderton said: "Imagine writing a book on freedom of speech, & storming off air because someone else dares to voice theirs."
