Piers Morgan shares rare photo of daughter as she beats him at chess in 4 moves

Piers Morgan has shared a rare picture of his daughter Elise and revealed the eight year old beat him at chess in just four moves.

The Good Morning Britain host, 55, posted a picture on his Instagram page showing the youngster pulling a victorious pose in front of a chess board.

The snap, taken at the star's London home, shows the board in checkmate and Piers admitted his daughter's win was swift and decisive.

He also revealed Elise had been inspired by watching Netflix show The Queen's Gambit, about a young female chess prodigy.

Piers wrote: "I knew letting her watch Queen's Gambit was a mistake.

"She's just beaten me in 4 moves. I will never live this down."

One of his followers asked whether Piers had lost because he'd had a few took many drinks, writing: "Oh dear, after how much wine?

"It's the only excuse otherwise shameful for you or Elise is a genius... I suspect the latter."

Piers then admitted he'd not touched a drop, replying: "Stone cold bloody sober."

Another follower wrote: "Bravo clever girl!" while one more commented: "
Chip off the old block."

Piers is a dad of four - he has three sons, Spencer, Stanley and Bertie, with first wife Marion Shalloe, who he was married to from 1991 to 2008.

He shares Elise with his current wife Celia Walden.

The couple have been married since 2010.
