She may be starting to gain support from Love island viewers - but Maura Higgins was Piers Morgan’s number on target again this morning.
The Good Morning Britain host, who constantly criticises the ITV2 show (we think he doth protest too much) has again hit out at the Irish bombshell, accusing her of ‘playing the victim’ over what happened with Tom Walker.
Maura erupted when she overheard Tom make a comment about her to the other boys ahead of their time in the Hideaway.
They were getting ready to spend some quality time in the private bedroom when she heard him say that it would be “interesting to see if she was all mouth” due to her being confident discussing sex.
Despite viewers’ initial lukewarm reception of Maura, they rallied behind her over the issue, and were annoyed with Tom’s assumption that she would ‘do bits’ just because she openly spoke about sex.
Piers, however, was having none of it and again today accused Maura of “assaulting” Tommy Fury when she straddled him and tried to kiss him last week.
He said he has no sympathy for “man-eater” Maura who he believes is “playing the victim” with Tom.
Piers said: “Maura is the sex assaulter right, who assaulted Tyson Fury ’s half-brother?
“She assaulted him but no one cares because she’s a women, but she did. She literally assaulted him.
“He told her to get off and she carried on assaulting him, should have been arrested, and she’s playing the victim now. She’s a terrible victim of the banter bus.”
