Piers Morgan says job offers have 'accelerated' following Ofcom win

Former GMB host Piers Morgan says his job offers have 'accelerated' after Ofcom found his comments about Meghan Markle did not breach broadcasting code.

Piers comment's on Good Morning Britain following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's chat with Oprah Winfrey received more than 50,000 complaints.

Watchdog Ofcom said they did not breach broadcasting code and Ofcom took full account of freedom of expression.

Piers' future in the broadcasting world is now under the spotlight following his departure from the show in March when he famously stormed off, defending his remarks.

Piers, who attended the GQ Awards at the Tate Modern in London last night, also told reporters outside his home that he will make a decision 'quite soon' about his next job.

He said: "I have had loads of offers and they have accelerated in the last 10 hours, as you can imagine, and I will take my free speech campaign around the world and all I require is to have an employer who believes in it as passionately as I do."

He also said that the rise on GMB ratings while he was on the show indicated that he is a “valuable commodity", and added: "I’m considering some very interesting offers right now and I will make a decision quite soon."

Good Morning Britain's Susana Reid said this morning that Piers 'is not coming back' despite speculation he might.

Piers also joked he should just 'storm back into GMB' amid rumours he won't get job back.
