Piers Morgan says Gordon Brown is 'wasting away' after probing former PM about weight loss

Piers Morgan suggested that Gordon Brown was "wasting away" after probing him about his weight loss.

The former prime minister, 68, appeared on Good Morning Britain via video link as he spoke about Brexit .

But at the end of the interview, Piers couldn't help but probe Gordon about his weight.

He said: "I can't help but notice you're looking extremely svelte. What is the secret to your new, glamorous, skinny look?"

"I'm doing what I think you're doing, Piers," Gordon replied, "and that's trying to keep fit".

"You're regime is working better than mine!" Piers quipped.

"You've had a longer holiday that I had," Gordon responded.

"I've had too much rose and fine food," Piers said laughing. "It's been great talking to you Gordon Brown."

After ending the interview, Piers joked that Gordon was "wasting away".

This came just before Piers and Susanna Reid' awkward interview with Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who .

One commented: "#GMB who even was that?? He didn't look anything like Mickey Rourke."

While another remarked: "Well. Sounds like Micky Rourke. Doesn’t look like him what on earth as he done #GMB."
