Piers Morgan says ‘creepy’ Tom Hiddleston is ‘over’ after bizarre Centrum advert

Piers Morgan has declared Tom Hiddleston’s career “over” after he took part in a bizarre advert for Centrum.

Hiddleston, 38, can be seen preparing raw fruit and vegetables topped off with an egg for a partner off screen who he promises to “make it up to soon” as he rushes out of the house in the one minute clip.

Morgan was left visibly cringing as he watched the advert with Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid on Monday and repeatedly asked why Hiddleston chose to lend his name to the brand.

“Tom, what are you doing? What is wrong with you? This guy was in The Night Manager,” he said as he held his head in his hands. “He was cool. Is it really worth what they’re paying you?”

Morgan also referred to the “awful incident” in July 2016 when Hiddleston was pictured frolicking in the sea with then-girlfriend Taylor Swift in a vest which read: “I [heart] T.S.”

He said: “There was that awful incident when he was caught in the sea with Taylor which killed his James Bond chances, now he’s taking a massive cheque, presumably, to advertise some vitamins on Chinese television. So creepy.

Mocking: Piers Morgan mocks Tom Hiddleston over the

“People make such odd career choices. He was in the running to be James Bond. It was all going so brilliantly – Night Manager, Loki – everything was so cool then he went ‘bang, bang’. T-shirt. This ad. It’s over.”

Hiddleston was mocked online after the advert dropped on his Weibo channel last week with many left cringing and asking “so many questions”.

One Twitter user posted: “Creepy breakfast from #TomHiddleston anyone? QUESTIONS: 1. What did he finish early to come back and serve breakfast? 2. Where is he going? 3. What kind of maniac is having a plate of veg that size for breakfast? 4. Is this what happens post Marvel?”

Another simply deemed it the “worst ad ever”.
