Piers Morgan's son Spencer says he was glad to stay 2 metres away from 'foghorn' dad

Piers Morgan was trolled by his son Spencer after their socially distanced walk with the 26 year old joking he was glad to stay two metres away from his "foghorn" dad.

The famous offspring, 26, couldn't resist making a joke at his dad's expense on Instagram for the world to see on Wednesday.

Spencer jested his ears appreciated the socially distanced two metres away from his "foghorn" dad while they headed out into the countryside.

In comparing his TV star dad to a "foghorn", his son playfully poked fun at the louder aspects of Piers' personality.

Piers snapped a smiling selfie while his son Spencer gave a thumbs up from two metres away.

It's been three months since the father and son duo had been able to meet up because of the restrictions on the UK lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Spencer wrote: "Good to see this walking foghorn after three months. Ears appreciated the 2 metres.

"Really nice to see the sister through the window too."

Piers uploaded an identical selfie from their walk on his Instagram page.

He wrote: "Nice to see you again son, albeit from 2 metres. #3MonthReunion."

It comes nearly two weeks after Spencer mocked his dad for saying he missed his sons.

The eldest son jokingly told his dad to "stay away" after Piers publicly questioned whether the new lockdown rules meant he would be able to see his sons who don't live at his family home.

Piers aired his frustration on social media over the confusion on the lockdown rules.

The dad-of-four explained he hadn't seen two of his three sons in 10 weeks.

He wrote: "I haven't seen two of my sons for 10 weeks. They live 10 minutes away, next to a large common.

"Am I allowed to go and see them, if I stay 2 metres away? The answer appears to be no, yet I can see 1000s of strangers a day in my local park if I stay 2m away. Makes no sense."

Spencer re-tweeted the post with the words: "No, stay away from us."

Piers has been isolating at his country home with his wife Celia and their daughter Elise.

The TV star has been unable to see his three sons from his first marriage until now because of the lockdown rules on limiting people to only seeing members of their household.

Piers has three older sons Spencer Stanley, 22, and Albert, 19, with his ex-wife Marion Shalloe.
