Piers Morgan's son hits out at dad's GMB exit and row with Alex Beresford

Piers Morgan's son has weighed in on his dad's Good Morning Britain exit and his row with Alex Beresford.

The TV presenter stood down after saying he did not believe the duchess's remarks in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, when she spoke about her mental health and having suicidal thoughts.

His comments were criticised by mental health charity Mind and prompted 41,000 complaints to broadcast watchdog Ofcom, as well as a formal complaint to ITV from Meghan.

Mr Morgan also clashed with Alex Beresford on Tuesday over his comments about Harry and Meghan's interview, storming off the set after it became heated.

Three petitions on Change.org calling for the presenter to return to GMB have since garnered a combined total of more than 196,000 signatures.

Following his dad's exit, Mr Morgan's son, Spencer, revealed his thoughts on the matter.

Spencer tweeted: "Only direct thoughts on these: Harry/meg: stunning PR job, well played Alex weatherman: always got on with him, can’t hate on a guy for taking such an easy chance to boost his career. Queen: Goat emoji [greatest of all time].

"The concept of debate: RIP."

He later posted a picture of Susanna Reid, and said: "Respect ⁦⁦ @susannareid100 ⁩ . RIP morning dream team."
