Piers Morgan seems to have summed up the feelings of many fans watching the finale of Line of Duty.
The former Good Morning Britain host labelled the episode ‘underwhelming’ after the identity of H was revealed.
After sharing his excitement ahead of the show, after it was aired he tweeted: “Definately a tad underwhelming” (sic).
In the final episode Buckells was hauled into an AC-12 interview room in which he repeated "no comment" to Ted Hastings' questioning.
Eventually, Buckells admitted he was indeed the fourth man after the suggestion he was a "blundering fool".
Fellow fans of the show had a similarly muted response to the finale, with Kate Garraway labelling the reveal as "disappointing" on Good Morning Britain.
Responding to the reveal on the show today (May 3), Kate said she was "so excited" about the finale but hadn't been able to watch it because there was a power cut at her house.
Kate found out the identity of H anyway and was not impressed, Chronicle Live reports.
She said: "I haven't seen it yet - but from what's been reported in the papers, it is a little bit disappointing who H turned out to be.”
Charlotte Hawkins replied: "I think it's one of those things where it's coming up to the finale and there's so much speculation that it's hard to live up to expectation."
But Kate responded: "I just imagined he would be more senior, H. he or she."
"Ian Buckles is a bit of a buffoon, isn't he," Kate's co-host Sean Fletcher said.
Kate continued: "I think he's a bit of a buffoon and I think we were expecting some kind of - I mean, the actor's lovely! I don't know, I just expected it to be someone more Machiavellian, moving things around behind the scenes.
"Of course, what we're hoping for is a series seven and maybe Jed Mercurio in his clever way, it turns out to be that it wasn't really H - there's an H plus or something!"
