Piers Morgan's five shock claims about Meghan and Harry in bombshell US interview

Piers Morgan accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of "complete hypocrisy" in a tell-all interview in America.

The former Good Morning Britain host's chat with Tucker Carlson aired on Fox Nation on Monday and the 56-year-old refused to sit on the fence with his opinions.

Piers sensationally walked out of the ITV breakfast news show following his refusal to apologise for his comments towards Meghan Markle after her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

And the royal interview was front and centre to a lot of the discussion points between Piers and Tucker as the Life Stories presenter promised he had "left nothing in the locker".

Piers accused Harry and Meghan of "complete hypocrisy" over their interview with Oprah Winfrey and said he has the "universal support" of the British public.

The former GMB host also accused the couple of the "most extraordinarily disingenuous smear, hit job" on the royal family.

With the interview only airing in the US, The Mirror rounded up Piers' five most explosive claims as he spoke to US conservative news personality Tucker Carlson.

Piers demands royal names

Piers told the host that the Duchess of Sussex should reveal who it was in the Royal Family that said she wasn't able to get help as she struggled with suicidal thoughts.

Meghan refused to name those involved when she sat down with Oprah, but insisted that she was told she could not seek out professional help for her mental health.

Talking about the incident, Piers told Tucker he thought Meghan was accusing people "simply to promote the brand of the Royal Family ".

"If that is true, let's have the names of these people," he said.

"Let's go to them and ask them, 'Is this true? Did you tell a suicidal woman, who told you she was suicidal, she was not allowed to get help?'"

17 allegations "were untrue or exaggerated"

Piers claims that at least 17 of the allegations made by the former Suits star and the Duke of Sussex during their Oprah interview have "proven to be untrue or exaggerated".

He explained to Tucker the "outrage" he faced after he cast doubt over some of Meghan's claims in her explosive interview.

But now Piers insists that his thoughts we justified. He said on Fox: "I still don't believe what they were saying and in particular I don't believe what Meghan Markle said.

"Seventeen different claims by the pair of them have now been proven to be either completely untrue, or massively exaggerated or unprovable."

Racist allegations addressed

Piers hit out at those who called him racist after he questioned the intention behind a member of the Royal Family questioning what skin tone their son Archie might have been.

He said: "It's an innocent question, unless it's loaded with a [negative tone].

He later added: "I should be entitled to hit back… if you're going to accuse people of racism, you better put up some facts."

Oprah interview was "disingenuous"

The former GMB presenter blasted the entirety of Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah, calling it "disingenuous".

He described it as a "90-minute whine-a-thon" before hitting out at it for being "a smear on the Royal Family, the Monarchy and Britain, my country".

Harry's a "whiny brat"

The outspoken presenter directed some positive comments towards Meghan and Harry at one point.

He admitted he had been a fan of hers in Suits while also praising Harry for his military service.

But he questioned Harry and what he had become. He said: "What's happened to that guy? He's turned into a whiny brat.

"He's in his mid-30s crying his dad won't fund him financially."

He berated the pair for talking being their "only currency".

"Talking about themselves… is their only currency…. without that they're just another couple of celebrities on the Huxta trail," he added.
