Piers Morgan's £4million home mocked by fans as he shares glimpse at furniture

Piers Morgan might regret giving fans a look inside one of his many homes – as his furniture was ruthlessly mocked by followers online.

The 56-year-old broadcaster is believed to have three properties around the world – with a townhouse in London, a country home in Newick and a glamorous mansion in Los Angeles.

Piers is reported to be worth an estimated £250 million – with his portfolio of properties said to be worth £8.9 million alone – but fans think he is careful with his pennies as he had not been investing in some new furniture for decades.

Piers found himself under scrutiny when he took to Instagram on Sunday to show he was sat in front of a large television showing a political broadcast, a plate of scrambled eggs, a chess board in chaos, cricket on his laptop, a Sunday paper, and plenty of Christmas decorations.

His post included a caption that began: "If Carlsberg did breakfast…."

He then added a check list of items possible to see in his post that included "Scrambled eggs & truffle, Ashes, Final Andrew Marr show, Sunday papers" – along with ticked off emojis alongside each of the listed items.

Fans were intrigued to get an inside look at Piers' home – but couldn't resist mocking some of his decor.

One took aim at his TV, writing: "Perfect, although that TV stand is a shocker for that TV" along with a crying-with-laughter emoji.

Other followers agreed, with one writing: "That tv stand needs to go" while others declared the TV stand belonged “in the ‘90s.”

Another noticed a chess board on the same table that Piers was dining from – which included a number of pieces that had been knocked over.

The inquisitive follower asked: "Who rage quit at chess ? Haha" – again adding a crying-with-laughter emoji.

Responding to the post, Piers revealed: "my daughter… she takes losing as well as I do" – with other fans referred to the way Piers famously quit Good Morning Britain earlier this year, noting: "so she walks off and quits?"

Another fan took aim at the plate of food displayed before Piers, writing: "Literally the worst scrambled eggs I’ve ever seen!!!" – with another fan that was in agreement adding: "doesn’t look appetising".

Last year, Piers was mocked by fans after he complained he wasn’t able to get to one of his houses which included a swimming pool due to lockdown.

His country home in the UK is complete with a pool – but he had surrendered the property to his parents during lockdown while he set up camp in his London home.

Grumbling on GMB in July last year, Piers said: I've been in London now since March 14th. I have never been in one place, I don't think in my adult life as long as I've been in London."

Co-host Susanna Ried then asked him: "And how many of your properties would you have visited in that time?"

Piers then declared: "What I've discovered is a new fresh hell where you see other people using your swimming pools."

Susanna then mockingly asked, while overly dramatic sad music played: "Oh dear. How many swimming pool have you got?"

But Piers replied: "I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm just saying it's a new form of fresh hell... no sympathy required, it's just annoying.”

Meanwhile, the star was mocked yet again when he finally flew to his LA home earlier this year and shared a snap of the swimming pool he has there, which some fans complained looked like it was “green” – although Piers himself argued it was just a trick of the light.
