Piers Morgan reveals new TV job with Rupert Murdoch as he says 'I've gone home'

Piers Morgan has a new telly job which will see him go global in UK, US and Oz - and give his opinions freely.

The former Good Morning Britain host, who is known for his opinionated views, has signed a deal which he promises will 'celebrate the right of everyone to have an opinion.'

And Piers, who famously walked off the set of GMB after he refused to back down over his comments regarding Meghan Markle, reckons his new job will be a lot of fun.

Piers' new show, billed for early 2022, is part of a global deal and will air on talkTV in the UK, USA and Australia and he reckons it will be an 'adventure'.

After he teased his news online with a video of a clock with the caption 'Tick Tock', Piers spilled the breaking news and said: "BREAKING: I’ve gone home. Great to be rejoining Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation after 28 years.

"The place I started my media career, with the boss who gave me my first big break. We’re going to have a lot of fun…."

Piers will also publish two weekly columns online for the New York Post and The Sun.

Piers added: "I’m thrilled to be returning to News Corp, which is where I began my media career more than 30 years ago.

"Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together.

"I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged."

Piers also has a new book to release and HarperCollins will publish the follow-up to last one Wake Up in audio and digital formats, including a hardback edition.
