Piers Morgan relieved Kim Kardashian won't be First Lady as Kanye crashes out

Piers Morgan has expressed his relief that Kim Kardashian won't be moving into the White House with her husband Kanye West.

The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host was discussing the election with his co-hosts when it was announced that Kanye had admitted defeat.

The rapper, who had launched his presidential bid earlier this year, had bowed out of the race after receiving just 50,000 votes from US citizens.

Speaking to GMB viewers, Piers joyfully announced the news this morning that the Yeezy designer was no longer in the running.

"You’ll all be probably relieved to hear Kanye West has conceded," Piers exclaimed.

Susanna Reid then added: "Look, Kanye West, it’s not over till it’s over!"

Piers then spoke of the 'enormous relief' that that Keeping Up With The Kardashians star would not become First Lady.

"We won’t have first lady Kim Kardashian West, which is probably an enormous relief for all of us, whatever political persuasion you’re from," Piers said.

Although Kanye has conceded in this year's election, it hasn't stopped the billionaire celebrity from already casting his focus on 2024.

Just hours after the dad of four took to the ballot box for the first time to vote for himself , Kanye shared a cryptic tweet that focused on the next US election.

Kanye wrote: "God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust...me."

He then shared another tweet with his 30.9 million Twitter followers, writing: "WELP KANYE 2024."

Piers has long been a critic of Kanye West after he announced his run for the US presidency earlier this year.

When the musician broke the news on social media in July, Piers hit back with: "Not now, Kanye. Seriously."

He has also taken aim at Kim Kardashian on several occasions and in one MailOnline article slammed the reality star's behaviour as being "selfish, reckless and potentially catastrophic for America."
