Piers Morgan reignites feud with Gordon Ramsay after slating his vegan food as ‘inedible gruel’ on GMB

Piers Morgan has reignited his feud with Gordon Ramsay after slating his vegan food as 'inedible gruel'.

The Good Morning Britain presenter ripped apart the TV chef’s plant-based menu option at the GQ Awards after both his wife Celia and co-star Susanna Reid were left unimpressed.

As usual, Piers jumped on a chance to offer his unwanted opinion on an issue which didn’t directly affect him - he opted for the beef wellington.

But that didn’t stop him from giving his twopenneth on the ITV programme.

He said: “You know what’s funny? Gordon Ramsay did the food, and what was hilarious was, I had the crab and the beef wellington.

“Susanna went for the vegan option, my wife got given it even though she didn’t ask for it, and both of them declared it one of the most disgusting things they have ever eaten.

“So, there’s the future, no more beef wellington. Gordon’s now into vegan food, or pretending to be, because it’s making him kerching.

“The truth is, it was inedible, horrible gruel. I had a beautifully cooked beef wellington, which was delicious.”

Susanna attempted to apologise to the Michelin-starred chef, before explaining what was on her plate at the annual awards ceremony.

“I seemed to have a plate of lentils in a sort of red wine reduction,” she explained.

It’s not the first time that Piers has criticised Gordon’s move to vegan food.

Earlier this year the motormouth host shared an old tweet from Gordon where he criticised the vegan diet, following the announcement the fiery chef was going to start offering meat-free roast dinners.

But Gordon was having none of it, and promptly told Piers where to go.

He responded on James Corden's Late Late Show: "So Piers Morgan is now a food critic? Go and f*** yourself. Seriously!"

GMB airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
