Piers Morgan refuses to apologise after guest Adee Phelan swears live on Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan has refused to apologise after a guest swore twice during a live interview on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.

Celebrity hairstylist Adee Phelan, once on TV in Channel 4 reality show The Salon and the man credited with a number of David Beckham's most talked about hair dos, spoke to Piers and co-host Susanna Reid via video call about the way the Government have handled the coronavirus pandemic.

But as he got into a passionate rant, Adee used expletives, fuming that ministers needed to ministers to ‘get their s*** in order’.

He then added: The message is to stick together, no fighting, no wars, no looting. We need to have solidarity.

"We live in an amazing country with amazing people doing amazing things. We need to keep doing it and shows like this need to keep showing stories like this, not reality stars complaining about being bored. Bulls***.

Typically if a guest swears on GMB a swift apology is issued but Piers said: "Normally we would issue a grovelling apology for slightly unfortunate language.

"I actually understand your anger, I understand your passion, and I am prepared to take a hit from Ofcom. ‘I’m not going to apologise for it."

Some viewers were disgusted at Piers' attitude to Adee swearing, with one tweeting: "GMB just dropped to a whole new low, allowing Adee Phelan to go on a rant for minutes and swearing live with no apology.

"Let’s allow someone with alternative view have a 10 minute uninterrupted monologue for balance tomorrow??"

In agreement, another posted: "Disgusting language used on #gmb. I shan't be listening again. Shame on @piersmorgan for refusing to apologise for the thuggish language."

However, others applauded Adee's rant, with another viewer responding: "Such passion, honest truth & genuine compassion. Hope nobody complains about his language."

Later on in GMB, Susanna apologised for Adee's bad language but Piers once again didn't back down, once again commending him for is passion.
